Jancis Robinson.com 's locks down with the FHV 2018 Bacchus

A huge thanks to Tamlyn Currie of Jancis Robinson.com for this review of our 2018 Bacchus  here

Forty Hall Vineyard  Bacchus

Certified organic wine from a social-enterprise vineyard in London. Vinified by Will Davenport in East Sussex. Harvested September, unchaptalised. TA 7.1 g/l, pH 3.21, RS 2.6 g/l. Total SO2 67 mg/l, free SO2 23 mg/l.

Not nearly as catty as most Bacchus wines! Smells like a fresh bay leaf, crushed in your hand. Gorgeous greengage fruit with a herby, fragrant lift of blackcurrant leaf and salvia and sage. Elegant – not something I ever thought I'd write about Bacchus! Flint dust on the finish.
