Since 2009, the vineyard has been thriving, and making a difference within our community, but we are currently in need of vital funds to ensure the vineyard's survival and to help us become a more sustainable enterprise.
After a tough three years of poor harvests (due to the pandemic, adverse weather conditions, devastating powdery mildew and a lack of suitable equipment), 2023 was make-or-break for us. We launched a successful fundraising campaign and raised enough from individual donations to pay for a tractor and other essential equipment and we put all our efforts into nurturing our vines.
In September 2023, we were rewarded with a record breaking harvest that exceeded all expectations - the hard work had paid off and it felt like nothing short of a miracle! Long-term sustainability is in sight for London’s Vineyard, BUT we still have to pay for the production of the wines from 2023's extraordinary yield and continue to manage the vineyard and volunteering project until all the wines are ready and sold in volume.
Without additional financial help we are likely to run out of money before the end of the year and our project remains at risk. It is a straightforward cashflow issue.
If you’d like to support our campaign there are a number of ways you can help us.
