VINEYARD TRAIL - About Forty Hall Vineyard

Welcome to Forty Hall Vineyard - London’s only commercial scale vineyard, producing award-winning still and sparkling wines from organic grapes grown here in Enfield.

The vineyard is a not-for-profit social enterprise. The vines are tended by a dedicated team of 60 local volunteers who take care of all the tasks required to produce a healthy crop of red and white grapes each year.

As a community vineyard, Forty Hall provides opportunities for local people to enjoy the benefits of working outdoors, meeting others, learning new skills and much more, as a way of promoting physical and mental wellbeing. This ecotherapy element is a core part of everything we do and something of which we are immensely proud. Forty Hall Vineyard is also a Garden of Sanctuary – part of a national network of community gardens, city farms and other green spaces where people in the asylum system are welcomed and their contribution valued.

To hear where it all began, you can listen to this interview with FHV's founder Sarah Vaughan Roberts.
