Short Course in Simonit and Sirch prning method at Plumpton College

Winter pruning has begun at Forty Hall Vineyard and we are putting into practice the training our volunteers were given by Simonit&Sirch  aka 'The Pruning Guys'. 

Simonit&Sirch is an acclaimed consulting and training company, based in Italy, who have developed their own method of vine pruning over the last 15 years, which respects the sap flow of the vine. They work with some of the most famous wineries around the the world.

They have teamed up with Plumpton College , Sussex for a three day course: “Vine Pruning School by Simonit&Sirch, Respecting the Sap Flow”  starting on Monday, January 13th 2020. 

This is a very hands-on, intensive pruning course, with 2 and half days of work in the vineyards.  It's a unique opportunity to learn the basis of a method that is applied in some of the most important vineyards in the world, with a particular focus for UK viticultural requirements.
