Women in Viticulture Project

Photographer Felicity Crawshaw is working on a project exploring and celebrating women's role in the UK wine industry, championing female winemakers and growers.

For International Women's Day she began sharing some of her work, including her portraits of Forty Hall Vineyard's Head of Operations Emma Lundie on a morning in the vineyard.

This is a subject close to our heart as the project was founded and is led and managed mainly by women. They also make up around  60% of our volunteer community. Felicity has so far met 23 other women in wine making and growing, and we hope many more will join the English wine making industry.

Autumn is such a wonderful time of year and Felicity captured the post harvest mood beautifully.  We can't wait to see the project come to life.

Thank you @felicitycrawshaw !
